• December, 2009: Concert for Charity at Science City, Kolkata to raise funds for Institute of Liver Studies, Kolkata. Noted Vocalist Ustaad Rashid Ali and Eminent Sarod Player Amaan Ali Bangash performed for this noble cause.

  • August, 2010: December, 2009: Kick-off Meeting of HCV Project at Science City, Kolkata. It was attended by Dr. S.K Acharya, Dr. Varghese Thomas, Dr. B.D Goswami, Dr. S.Sreenivas, Dr. A. Chowdhury, Dr. A. Konar, Dr. Kalyan Bose, Dr. A.Santra, Dr. Chandan. Kr. Sen, Dr. Partha Sarathi Mukherjee and Ms. Phangisile Mtshali.

  • August, 2010: November, 2009: A.R Rahman´s "JAI HO" Live-In Concert at Yuba Bharti Krirangan, Kolkata to raise funds for Institute of Liver Studies, Kolkata. It was his first performance in Eastern India after Oscar win.

  • July, 2010: October, 2009: Press Conference of Mr. A.R Rahman at Hyatt Regency, Kolkata for official announcement of his "JAI HO" Live-In Concert at Kolkata.

  • July, 2010: June, 2009: Celebration of 4th Foundation Day at Town Hall, Kolkata. Noted Veteran Singer Shri Manna Dey was felicitated by LFWB. The program also saw the release of a music C.D of Manna Dey "Chorar Desher Khoje" for the children, the proceeds of which will be donated to LFWB.

  • April, 2010: June, 2009: 1st Anouncement of "Dr. Dhaniram Mandi Memorial Fellowship" at Town Hall, Kolkata. The First recipient of this fellowship was Mr. Asharul Hossain of Nadia District.

  • March, 2010: May, 2009: Relief Work for AILA at Sunderbans along with Diarrhoea Management Camp. Medicines worth Rs. 10 lakhs were distributed free of cost.

  • April, 2009: First successful Live-related Liver Transplantation in Eastern India at SSKM Hospital, Kolkata. The transplant was done for a 7 month old boy, Roshan Ali whose father is a mason. LFWB has taken up every initiative to support this historical event and since then manages the entire operational (both pre and post) expenses of the child.

  • April, 2009: Inauguration of Purulia Peripheral Centre of LFWB along with RHCP training.

  • February, 2009: Participation in 1st Learning and Sharing Conference of BMSF at Beijing. Dr. A. Chowdhury, Dr. P.S Mukherjee and Dr. Saibal Majumdar represented LFWB.

  • February, 2009: 1st Seminar on Brain Death and Organ Donation at Kolkata Book Fair. Eminent personalities like Smt. Sukumari Bhattacharya, Writer & Social Activist; Shri Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, Hon´ble Ex-Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Dr. Trishit Bhattacharya, famous neurologist, Shri Braja Roy, Secretary of Ganadarpan spoke about the relevance and importance of organ donation in the current social scenario.

  • January, 2009: Inaugural Ceremony of "Saradish Roy Smriti Swasthya Bitan" at Nagori Village of Suri, Birbhum. The Foundation Stone was laid by Dr. Sujit. Kr. Bhattacharya, Additional Director of ICMR.

  • December, 2008: 1st Chandrakant Patil Memorial Health Dialogue at the auditorium of Nilratan Sarkar Medical College Hospital. Speakers included Prof. Amartya Sen, Dr. K. Sreenath Reddy, President of Public Health Foundation of India, Prof. J. Mohan Rao of JNU, Delhi.

  • December, 2008: 2nd Kolkata Liver Meeting was held at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Salt Lake, Kolkata. The theme this time was "Acute on Chronic Liver Failure". Speakers included Dr. Pere Gines (France), Dr. Andrew Burroughs (England), Dr. Rajiv Jalan (England), Dr. G. Garcia - Tsao (USA), Dr. Rajeswar Mukherji (UK).

  • December, 2008: Inauguration of Siliguri Peripheral Centre. Legendary Cricket Player Sourav Ganguly was present at the occasion.
