This fellowship program aims to provide financial assistance to the talented students who want to pursue their career in the field of medicine but lacks proper financial support. The fellowship program was officially announced on 30th July 2009, wherein Padmasree Manna Dey was felicitated by Liver Foundation West Bengal. On that day the veteran singer Manna Dey released his music album Chorar Desher Chondya, the sale proceeds of which will go to the corpus fund of Liver Foundation West Bengal, specially created for its purpose of contributory social security.
