A Concert for Charity was organized at the Science City Auditorium, Kolkata to raise funds to form a Corpus Fund for supporting those underprivileged people who are awaiting liver transplantation. Eminent artists like Bikram Ghosh, Swagatalakshmi Dasgupta, Arjun Chakraborty performed for this noble cause and legendary cricket player Sourav Ganguly was also present to extend his support for this cause.

Agreement signed with Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation (BMSF) at India Habitat Center, New Delhi for the project "Science to Society" - an eastern dream for the prevention of Hepatitis B. The tenure of the project was from December, 2007 to November 2010

1st Kolkata Liver Meeting at Science City, Kolkata on Hepatic Fibrosis. Leading researchers from across the globe participated in the event. The list included Scott L Friedman (Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, USA), Massimo Pinzani (Italy), James L Boyer (USA), Ian Wanless (Canada), Vlad Ratziu (France). The meeting was sponsored by Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) and the Indian National Association for Study of the Liver (INASL).
